Harvesting Conversations: 2019 KT Legacy project underway

2019 KT Legacy grant recipients Amrita Hepi and Claire Winsor visited TCL’s Adelaide studio in May to “harvest conversations” with staff for their upcoming video work. The conversations were conducted with TCL staff and friends privately, with the contents of those conversations translated into a choreography that will explore human relationships to landscape. Prior to the workshop in Adelaide Amrita was in Perth at PICA (Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts) for another participatory work, A CALL TO DANCE (7-18 May), which followed a similar process of translating personal conversations into dance. View a preview of A Call to Dance here. The KT Legacy work is due to be released via a launch event in late 2019. Stay tuned for further updates.

TCL acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people — the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We respect their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
