TCL are pleased to have received a 2019 SA AILA Landscape Architecture Award for the creation of a "distinctive garden environment" (jury citation) for the Jones Residence. This quarter hectare garden is nestled around the rehabilitated banks of First Creek, and in amongst significant existing indigenous Eucalyptus and mature Palm trees. Utilising a restrained palette of architectural screens, a vegetation mix of native and exotic species and subdued ground planes, the design carefully choreographs a play of spaces, textures, hues and forms that provides a constantly shifting vision of garden life. We thank our wonderful clients Mark and Emily Jones for their vision and trust. An article on the garden, entitled “Breathing Space” by Helen Young, was published in the Weekend Australian Magazine - August 3rd – 4th 2019. View the project on our website here.
