TCL takes part in Melbourne Open House 2018
August 10th, 2018
TCL took part in Melbourne Open House on Saturday 28 July, with Directors Perry Lethlean and Lisa Howard leading two simultaneous tours at Monash Clayton and Monash Caulfield respectively.
At two booked-out tours in Clayton, interested members of the public and students of landscape architecture toured several of TCL’s recent projects, including Monash Forum, Northern Plaza and North Eastern Precinct Landscape on a walk explored the opportunities and challenges of designing a 24-hour campus where more and more students are taking residence while they study.
At Caulfield, attendees toured the recently completed Queens Walk and the multi-award-winning Monash Campus Green where they heard about TCL’s experience in realising an ambitious vision to unite a disparate series of buildings and spaces with a coherent and engaging contemporary landscape.
A big thank you to Monash University’s Campus Design, Quality and Planning department, particularly Jocelyn Chiew and Ishani Gunasekara for their efforts in organizing the terrific program of events.
Monash University was the largest location partner of this year’s Melbourne Open House event, with a host of architects, landscape architects and designers on the ground showcasing their work to the public.
