Walking on Country

Up on Waanyi Country at Boodjamulla National Park (Aboriginal Land) and Gregory, planning and co-designing new on-Country destination and cultural tourism opportunities with Waanyi people.

Boodjamulla was handed back to Waanyi People in 2023 and is managed by Boodjamulla Cooperative Management Council—the Waanyi People and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. The Park has been temporarily closed since major flooding caused widespread damage to visitor facilities and park infrastructure in March 2023. Recovery of the Gorge will be a staged approach with restored and improved areas being re-opened to the public and commercial operators as soon as it’s safe and feasible to do so.

Great to be working with Waanyi PBC, Impact250, Ross Browning, @Boyd Simpson, Catherine Chilvers & Waanyi JV, Jim Gleeson, Hayley Seears, Plan C Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Department of Environment, Science and Innovation and other key stakeholders and contributors.
