"There’s nothing more satisfying than opening day of a project and seeing the community come together to enjoy a park that you’ve had a role in designing. Hearing squeals of joy from children playing, jumping on a trampoline, or running through a water feature can’t be matched!"

About

With a deep fascination for the intricate interplay between history, ecology, society, economy, and the built environment, Mandy found her true calling in landscape architecture and urban design. As a senior landscape architect at TCL, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to every project sharing her perspectives from working in the public and private sector for more than a decade.

Mandy is passionate about the creative design process and practical impact of landscape architecture in shaping cities. She has worked on several national award winning civic urban park projects in Canada and has discovered that pushing the boundaries of design comes from navigating through complex problems and finding creative solutions. Her greatest pleasure is seeing the places she designs being inhabited and used by people and seeing how a park or landscape becomes more than just a place but integrated into the social fabric of people’s lives.

Joining TCL in 2023, Mandy appreciates the firm's thoughtful, current, and engaging approach to landscape architecture. She was particularly drawn to TCL's commitment to amplifying the voices of Traditional Owners and Custodians of Australia, recognizing the significant role landscape architecture plays in meaningful reconciliation.

TCL acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people — the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We respect their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
