Scarborough wins Planning Excellence Award
TCL's Scarborough Foreshore Redevelopment project has won the Best Planning Ideas - Large Project award at the Planning Institute of Australia’s National Planning Awards, held on the Gold Coast in May. According the jury, “the innovative redevelopment plan realigned the foreshore, reshaped core infrastructure, and created new landmark amenities within an inspiring and cohesive public space.” “The layout of the Scarborough Beach redevelopment has produced more than a simple cosmetic facelift, it has completely redefined the space and created a clear urban structure that brought the water “closer” in terms of visual connection and access.” The design of the project was led by TCL with local partners UDLA and a team of talented consultants who all deserve big congratulations. We also congratulate our client, the MRA and City of Stirling, who oversaw the $50 million project. View the project here.
