"With a deep passion for plants, creativity, and the natural world, I am drawn to Landscape Architecture and Urban Design for its unique ability to bring these elements together. Fascinated by how landscapes function as interconnected systems, I enjoy the challenge of designing spaces where ecology, community, and aesthetics work in harmony."

About

Shael's interest in the field grew from a lifelong love of nature and curiosity about ecosystems and how different elements interact. This foundation continues to inform her approach, driving a thoughtful and holistic design perspective.

At TCL, Shael values the diversity of projects and the supportive, collaborative culture. She finds satisfaction in contributing to meaningful work while continually developing her skills and learning along the way.

Outside of work, she recharges through making art and spending time in her garden, both of which nurture creativity and connection to the natural environment.

Shael holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Permaculture Design Certificate, along with various other short courses in horticulture and creative practices, bringing both formal training and a systems-based mindset to her work.

TCL acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People — the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
