Roebuck Bay Lookout complete
A new TCL/UDLA-designed lookout has opened to the public. The lookout, which is part of the wider Broome Chinatown Revitalisation, provides shaded viewing opportunities of Roebuck Bay and Dampier Creek. Features of the Lookout include artwork and interpretive information created by Yawuru Traditional Owners in conjunction with Broome Senior High School students, materials including weathering steel panels, timber seating benches and handrails, Kimberley sandstone, indigenous planting and LED lighting. The broader project was led by UDLA and the client was Landcorp WA. More info here. Listen to ABC Radio coverage of the opening here. Images: supplied by client.
