David Joseph and Karen Berger established Bowerbird in 2015 and have over fifty-years’ experience between them in the performing arts space, telling the stories of our time through dynamic and sophisticated performances. Their first show Deceptive Threads, was awarded the Khayrallah International Art Prize and garnered excellent reviews over two Melbourne seasons.

Their proposal Lingua Botanica explores plant neurobiology and our connection to gardening in an immersive performance piece.

Lingua Botanica was performed in both TCL’s Melbourne and Adelaide studios in 2018 and is planned to tour more widely in 2019.
