About

Located on the tip of York Penninsula Innes National Park has a strong coastal environmental and cultural heritage.Taylor Cullity Lethlean prepared the Innes National Park Facility Design Plan in 2000 which assessed all sites within the park and proposed designs to accommodate visitor needs while protecting the natural and cultural environment.Subsequent work included a new park entrance which reflects the unique character of the Park environment including its Aboriginal heritage. Other works included steep beach access which required innovative solutions to navigate a near vertical cliff face and associated carparks and camping grounds.   Local materials were incorporated wherever possible.

TCL acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people — the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We respect their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
