About

The 135m2 terrace is elevated six levels above the bustling streets with expansive views across South Melbourne.  The terrace showcases the quality, attention to detail and beautifully nuanced design that Piccolo Developers are renowned for,  as well as providing  a flexible place for the Piccolo staff to relax and refresh, clear the mind, share a meal,  have a quiet conversation or a client meeting.

The terrace includes a simple yet elegant raised travertine plinth, punctuated with elliptical bespoke planters.  Each planter is multifaceted to provide varied aspects of greening while the curved planter edges transform into seating elements.  Crape Myrtle trees and hardy ornamental Mediterranean and Australian native planting provide seasonal colour, form and interest.

Made from ShapeShell (a propriety structural fibre reinforcement polymer), the planters were modelled by TCL entirely in 3D.  The 3D files were then provided directly to the manufacturer to produce the millimetre accurate complex forms.
