Paying Attention
Paying Attention

Paying Attention was the theme of an evening talk hosted by TCL Adelaide in April 2018. Speakers included Professor Garrett Cullity and Professor Stephen Muecke, both from the University of Adelaide.

Professor Garrett Cullity's area of inquiry focuses on moral and ethical issues and his talk centred on the creation of a moral and ethical ‘toolkit’ as a way of working in landscape architecture and allied fields.

Stephen re-examined his seminal book Reading the Country 30-years after it was first published, as a way of exploring the topic ‘paying attention to Country’ in the context of climate change and other contemporary issues.

The event attracted more than 40 attendees.

Stephen Muecke has kindly allowed us to publish the essay he wrote for the event below.
