"As Director, I thrive on seeing our staff rise to new challenges each and every day. Working on massively complex projects for local, state or national government can be daunting and the group we have here is always up for the task."

About

Scott Adams is a Director at TCL’s Melbourne studio and has led the design documentation teams on some of the firm’s largest urban civil and landscape projects.

Scott is committed to the development of environmentally sustainable practices throughout the design process and built implementation.

Scott has led the successful completion of many landmark urban design projects, including the redevelopment of Scarborough Foreshore in Perth and the redevelopment of the Jellicoe Street, North Wharf and Silo Park, part of the Auckland Waterfront redevelopment. Each of these projects represents a significant addition to the urban fabric of its setting, featuring a wide range of public realm spaces integrated with commercial uses. They also incorporate innovative Water Sensitive Urban Design elements.

Passionate about the natural environment, Scott played a key role in the development of the Tidbinbilla Nature Discovery Centre and the National Arboretum, both in the ACT, and directed the master planning of a wildlife sanctuary in Ethiopia for the Born Free Foundation. His involvement in the design of Birrarung Marr saw the inclusion of significant native planting and contemporary landscape design to create the largest new park in Melbourne’s CBD.

TCL acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people — the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We respect their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
